HP Suggested Schedule

**These schedules are ONLY suggested. Our goal with these schedules are to help parents/students try to have consistent and structured school time in the home setting. 

 

2ND GRADE SUGGESTED SCHEDULE

8am - 9am-Breakfast/Get ready (Yes. Change out of PJs)

9am - 9:30 am-Reading assignment (see grade level assignment page). Ideally this would be time to read next to a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can read on their own.

9:15am - 9:30am-Play. Ideally outside if weather permits.

9:30am - 9:45am-Writing assignment (see grade level assignment page). Ideally this would be time to write with a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can write on their own.

?9:45am - 10:00am-Lyrics 2 Learn or read a book to a sibling

10am - 10:15 am-Break. Ideally run around and play outside or try GoNoodle.

10:15 am - 10:45 am-Math assignment (see grade level assignment page). Ideally this would be time spent with a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can complete the assignment on their own.

10:45am - 11:00 am - SuccessMaker or practice math flashcards

11:00 - 11:15 am - Social Studies/Science-Weekly Reader or Science Spin

11:30am - 12pm - Choose another option from your grade level activities to explore.

12:00pm - 8pm - Relax, go outside, lunch. work on passions like reading, Legos, cooking, cleaning, make something for dinner, time with family.

8pm-9pm - Lights out, Good Night

3RD GRADE SUGGESTED SCHEDULE

8am - 9am

  • Breakfast/Get ready (Yes. Change out of PJs and brush your teeth)  

9am - 9:45am

  • Reading assignment (see teacher web page). Ideally this would be time to read next to a parent or sibling (or even a pet or stuffie). If students are ready, they can read on their own.

9:45am - 10:00am

  • Play. Ideally outside if weather permits.

10:00am - 10:15am

  • Spelling/Grammar

10:15am-10:30am

  • Writing assignment (see grade level assignment page). Ideally this would be time to write with a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can write on their own.  Many of the stories on the Scholastic website include some type of writing. So don't feel like you have to use this time only for writing. You could do your AR reading, flashcards, some extra math.  Whatever you need it for.

10:30am - 11:00am

  • Science/Social Studies

11:00 - 11:15 am

  • Break. Ideally run around and play outside or try GoNoodle.

11:15am - 12:00

  • Math assignment (see teacher web page).

12:00 pm - 12:15pm

  • Choose another option from your teacher web page to explore such as math flashcards, typing etc.

12:15pm - 1:15pm

1:15pm - 8pm

  • High Five!  Relax, go outside, work on passions like reading, Legos, cooking, cleaning, make something for dinner, time with family.

8pm-9pm

  • Lights out, Good Night

4TH GRADE SUGGESTED SCHEDULE

8:30am - 9am

  • Breakfast/Get ready 

9am - 9:45am

  • Reading assignment (see teacher webpage). Ideally this would be time to read next to a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can read on their own.

9:45am - 10:00am

  • Play. Ideally outside if weather permits.

10:00am - 10:30am

  • Social Studies assignment (see teacher webpage). Ideally this would be time to write with a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can write on their own.

  • Virtual Field Trips - if no internet Geography pages 

10:30am - 11:00 am

  • Science assignment (see teacher webpage). Ideally this would be time to write with a parent or sibling. If students are ready, they can write on their own.

  • Mystery Science

11:00am - 11:15am

11:15am - 11:45am

11:45am - 12:00am

  • Typing.com

12:00pm - 8pm

  • Relax, go outside, lunch. work on passions like reading, Legos, cooking, cleaning, make something for dinner, time with family.

8pm-9pm

  • Lights out, Good Night
