3rd Math - Week of 4/27/20 - Mrs.Comes

Suggested daily assignment schedule below.  Turn in completed work (pictures or paper) by Monday, 5/4/20.  Thank you in advance for all of your hard work!

Monday-  9-4:  Fractions as Part of a Set     **Optional video

- pg.226 #1 & 2, 6 - 11

- Take a picture or draw a picture of the people in your family (this can be just the people that live with you or your WHOLE, BIG family; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. laugh Write a fraction to show how many girls are in your family and a fraction to show how many boys are in your family.  I will be posting a picture of my family on class dojo.

- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)

- Complete 2 addition and 2 subtraction problems from review packet  (please wait until entire page is finished to send picture of completed work.)

Tuesday- 9-5:  Fractions - # Lines     **Optional video

- pg. 228 # 5 - 7

- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)

Wednesday-   9-6:  Locating Fractions on a # Line     **Optional video

- pg. 230 # 1 & 2, 6 - 8

- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)

Thursday-   9-7:  Fractions and Length      **Optional video

- 'Fraction strips:'  carefully cut out on outside of black line and keep in the envelope provided. You can lightly color each strip if you want to. (I'll be posting on video on class dojo so please watch it before cutting these out.)

***You'll be using these for several assignments so keep them in a safe place.

FRACTION Friday-   Do something of your choice today that involves fractions;  follow a recipe, measure items at your house, tell me how a group of something in your room can be written as a fraction.  Send me a picture or a video. smiley
