3rd Math - Week of 4/20/20
Suggested daily assignment schedule below. Turn in completed work (pictures or paper) by Monday, 4/27/20. Thank you in advance for all of your hard work!
We're starting FRACTIONS this week! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday- Find your wrapped package labeled 4/20/20 in the supplies that were picked up on 4/15/20.
Unwrap the outer white paper carefully so it doesn't tear. Listen to the book HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Fractions Book using this link:

- EAT some of your chocolate bar and on the next blank page in your math journal.........draw a picture of what you have left, write the fraction for how much you have left and send me a picture.
- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)
- Complete 2 addition and 2 subtraction problems from review packet (please wait until entire page is finished to send picture of completed work.)
Tuesday- 9-1: Divide Regions into Equal Parts **Optional video
- pg. 220 #1-4 AND 'Fraction Packet' pgs. 1 & 2
- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)
- Complete 2 addition and 2 subtraction problems from review packet (please wait until entire page is finished to send picture of completed work.)
Wednesday- 9-2: Fractions and Regions **Optional video
- pg. 222 #6-9 AND 'Fraction Packet' pgs. 3 & 4
- Complete 2 rows on a multiplication timing sheet. (If you can, time yourself for 1 minute, draw a line to show how many you completed in 1 minute and then finish any unfinished problems in those 2 rows.)

Thursday- 9-3: Fractions and Sets **Optional video

FRACTION Friday- Do something of your choice today that involves fractions; follow a recipe, measure items at your house, tell me how a group of something in your room can be written as a fraction. Send me a picture or a video.
