Fergus High School is well known as one of Montana’s best secondary schools.

We are a public four-year high school that is centrally located in Lewistown, Montana; east of Great Falls and north of Billings. In terms of proximity, Lewistown is a little more than one hundred miles from the nearest university.  However, we are fortunate to be supported, in part, by the Central Montana Education Center and MSU Northern, which host many college-level opportunities for students.

Area-wise our school district is a relatively large, serving all of Lewistown and much of Fergus County. Lewistown itself is located along the magnificent Big Spring Creek in the Judith Basin that encompasses much of Central Montana between the Judith, Moccasin and Snowy Mountain ranges.

Our community is also fortunate to be the center of a historically robust agricultural area and recently it has developed a strong manufacturing economy. Lewistown promotes a lifestyle that enjoys the great outdoors with many great fishing and hunting opportunities. Those recreational opportunities help drive a growing tourism industry, as well.
