Classes will start soon and we want to personally welcome all our 2019-2020 students and parents to Lewistown Junior High School this school year!.  We are looking forward to a great year and want each of you to be a big part of making this year successful. 

Lewistown Junior High School is formally starting for new students and parents on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with our New Student Orientation (all 7th grade students included) and our first day of classes will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019 starting at 8:10 a.m. 

Student schedules are available on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and our building is currently open on a limited basis from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for those who need to register their child, discuss schedule changes, or complete paperwork. 

If you have any questions please call the office at 535-5419.  Also of importance to our school community, is the 2019 LJHS Parent Orientation and Open House which will be August 27, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

LJHS fall athletics are gearing up for the start of school.  Every student will need to have a current Athletic Physical and Concussion Impact test completed and reviewed prior the start of practice. 

Parents must complete both a Consent for ImPACT testing form and a Consent to Treatment form prior the Concussion Impact testing time.  Forms are available in the Junior High Office, the Fergus High Office or via a download from our Digital Packpack to the left.

Impact Testing will be held at the Junior High School on August 16th at the following times.

• Volleyball - 8:00 a.m.
• Football - 9:00 a.m.
• Cross country and any extras - 10:00  a.m. 

A last minute session for Impact Testing will also be scheduled on Monday the 19th for participants that cannot test on the 16th, however hospital staff will not have time to review the results and the student-athlete will only be allowed limited non-physical involvement in practice until medical approval is received.

Physicals may be obtained through your family physician or scheduled with the Central Montana Medical Center, but musts be completed in advance to allow for medical staff to review and provided the school. 

Fall sports practices are scheduled to  begin Monday, August 19th at 3:30 p.m. at the Junior High.  Fall sport parent meetings will be listed here when scheduled.

Supply lists for students attending the Lewistown Junior High has been put together by staff and are available for parents.  If you have specific questions please contact the school in August for more information.

Junior High Activities are an important part of any adolescent experience – from learning new physical skills and sportsmanship to simply enjoying the thrill of activity and competition.  The goal of our programs is to support the thrill of competing and having fun with friends, as well as experiences to support their academic, social and emotional growth. 

Our coaches, teachers and club leaders work together to ensure our students are performing in their academics and extracurricular activities. We schedule practices after school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday leaving Wednesday for families and church related activities.
